And you thought the Patriot Act was bad! Get this about the CARS program…

Posted by parrotpatriot on August 3, 2009

This is CRAZY!  The Privacy Act prompt on (ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK I WON’T EVEN MAKE THIS A LINK.) actually says your computer will be property of the US Government when you accept.  Get this:  it is so broad that they can do just about anything with your computer any time in the future.   DO NOT CLICK OK.  If this is true, they can even listen to your phone calls on Skype!  And this is all legal.  Speaking of which, if Congress has spent so much time up there making laws, why is that legal?  The laws are intended to protect us from each other and from the government, not the other way around. Here’s what it says according to Glenn Beck:

This application proivdes access to the DOT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government. Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DOT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.

And of course all of this will be justified the SAME way the Patriot Act was justified. This one scares me more though, because I agree with Glenn Beck: this group of people are evil.

I’m so freaked about this, I won’t even visit that website to verify, so if you do, let me know what it says and take a picture of it for me pretty please with chocolate on top. Thanks! 🙂
